Net4Nuts has readied an application platform “GOmobile”, focused on allowing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Content Providers (CPs) to provide VAS across major mobile operators in India - both on SMS (over the short-code 54959) and on WAP.

GOmobile can be used as a common platform :

By SMEs for lead generation, dissemination of information to their employees, vendors, customers, etc.
By CPs for making their contents widely available, conducting surveys, initiating voting, running auctions for charity,
etc.

Some of the ways in which GOmobile can be used are explained below with examples:

The SME segment can utilize this platform for dissemination of information to their employees, vendors, customers,

etc. The services can be extended to corporates in all industry categories - textile, pharmaceutical, FMCG, banks, consumer durables, IT product company, etc.

The sales person of a pharmaceutical / textile company can receive vital information on order history, stock levels,

order status, etc. on SMS by sending a sending a specific keyword (say STO for stock levels) to 54959. This request will go to Net4Nuts Server which in turn will connect with SME’s database, take the information from there and send the response back to the sales person. This response to sales person will come from the same short-code i.e., 54959. The same information can be made available even on user’s mobile WAP browser.

For an online travel portal, GOmobile can enable its users to make bookings for domestic and international airline

tickets, and even make hotel reservations - all these on SMS and/or WAP.

With GOmobile in place, mobile users of a LPG supplier can refill LPG cylinders, inquire for a new connection,

and even register complaints like gas leakage, etc.

The Content Providers can utilize this ready platform to distribute and make available various content they own

without having to establish individual connectivity across the mobile operators. For example, a media organization or stock quotes provider would have a lot of content available with them. They can make some of those contents available on GOmobile in the form of pull based services.

Get unique wireless identity and messaging identity

GOmobile would enable the enterprises to create their own wireless and messaging identity and manage a new

virtual / private world of disseminating customized information.

Wireless enabling of existing applications and content

GOmobile as a platform would help enterprises to SMS / WAP enable their current applications and content, thereby

reaching onto the next level of communication - wireless communication - which has now become almost a necessity for updated information on-the-move.

Branding through exclusive keyword

With GOmobile, enterprises would get branding through the chosen keyword that will be dedicated exclusively

for them.

No dependency on mobile operator

With GOmobile in place, the enterprises don’t need to establish connectivity with each mobile operator individually.

GOmobile would by default provide them connectivity with the major mobile operators on zonal or national level.
